Meet Gillian
Gillian Hanbury is the founder and lead organizer of Home by Hanbury, LLC. Gillian has always had a flair for organizing and design, and at a young age, was the kid who cleaned out and organized her closet regularly. She loved nothing more than to help friends and family do the same. Creating spaces that were functional and beautiful became her happy place for many years.
Driven by a deep-rooted love for organizing and a desire to turn that passion into a career, Home by Hanbury was founded in early 2021 in Chicago, IL. During this time, Gillian built a diverse client base throughout the Chicagoland area and nationwide, including New York, Washington, DC, Utah, and Wisconsin.
Gillian spent a significant amount of time working in Park City, Utah, which led her to relocate there full-time in early 2022, bringing Home by Hanbury, LLC with her. In early 2026, she made the move to Milwaukee, Wisconsin, where she is now based, while continuing to serve clients both locally and across the country. Gillian takes great pride in helping her clients create joyful, functional, and beautifully organized spaces and is grateful to have turned her passion into a profession.
Before organizing and simplifying clients’ lives, Gillian spent seven years working in Sales, Marketing, and Events for a large hospitality company. She holds a Bachelor of Multidisciplinary Studies from West Virginia University, with concentrations in Event Planning, Communications, and Advertising. Gillian was a Division I athlete and served as a coxswain on the women’s rowing team, a sport that has played a significant role in her life. Although she misses spending time on the water, she continues to value an active, balanced lifestyle.
Known for her creative eye and knack for thoughtful details, Gillian enjoys hiking, skiing, traveling, cake decorating, and spending quality time with family and friends when not organizing and improving the lives of others.
